| At Keepsake Flower
Preservation we specialize in preserving wedding bouquets and gowns.
We will turn the most important flowers of your lifetime into
a cherished keepsake. Your flowers can be preserved from any
occasion: funeral memorials, birth of a new baby, anniversaries,
graduations, and of course weddings.

At Keepsake we preserve flowers by pressing.
Each rose or carnation is taken apart the petals are pressed
and then the flowers are expertly reconstructed and colored if
necessary. This is a Victorian art form and is considered by
many to be the most reliable method of flower preservation.
Photos, invitations or any other special memento may be
incorporated in the artwork if it can fit. We will even put
the pearls back in your stephanotis.
Your bouquet can be put back together to look like it did on your
wedding day or your flowers can be arranged around your invitation
or photo. We invite the customer to become involved with the
design of their keepsake. Every one of our finished artworks
is unique--no two are alike. Keepsake has a wide variety of
frames and backgrounds to choose from.
We color most of the greenery and some of the flowers to prevent
them from fading. Some color changes do occur naturally for
example: red roses turn burgundy, some pinks turn toward
purples, white roses turn ivory. This is a natural process and
should be expected. Conservation glass is used on all framed
pictures to protect the artwork from UV rays and to help cut down on
fading. This is the same glass used by museums to protect
priceless works of art. It is advised that your artwork not be
displayed under florescent lighting or in direct sunlight.
Brides are encouraged to visit our studio prior to their wedding
to view artwork samples. We have a list of preferred flowers
for the bride to share with her florist.
Consultations are free and by appointment only.
If a bride chooses to save her bouquet, a press is reserved
for her and she will receive a kit which will help keep her flowers
at their freshest until they reach the studio for preservation.
It is important that the flowers arrive at our studio while they
are still fresh--usually within 48 hours. The success of the
final artwork depends on the condition of the flowers we receive.
The bouquet should be wrapped lightly in DRY paper
towels or tissue paper and kept refrigerated or in a cool place
until delivery. DO NOT spray flowers with water and
never place in the freezer. Please call (585) 338-7448
before dropping off a bouquet so that someone will be at the studio
to receive it.
A non-refundable $100 deposit is required when we receive the
flowers to cover preservation work, and the final payment is due
upon completion of the artwork (usually 6 to 8 weeks). This amount will be deducted from the final balance due.
Please Note: Photos are taken of all the
finished artwork and will be used in our portfolio. Photos of our
artwork may also appear in our brochures or on our website.
